The day after I-do...

No... Not my wedding... lol
Yesterday, I had the absolute joy of watching my Dad and Step-Mummy (sorry Clare đ) say âI doâ in front of all their closest friends and family. It was one of those gorgeous, love-filled days - full of thoughtful surprises, happy tears, and long-overdue hugs with people I havenât seen in 10-15 years.
The whole day was emotional. From the build-up and excitement of getting ready to the big event itself. And honestly, I wouldnât change a single thing.
BUTâŚ

Today? I am exhausted! đ
The emotional, psychological, and mental highs take their toll. Add in the physical stress of dancing my tooties off all night in heels that made my quads burn more than leg day, standing for hours chatting with Auntie Annie, tottering around on tiptoe, and pretending I wasnât slowly losing feeling in my toes... it all adds up!
And letâs not forget the sweetie table. I think I single-handedly made up for every missed dessert this year - honestly, it couldâve been Christmas with the amount of sugar I put away.
So yes, my system is working overtime today - digesting, repairing, and recovering from the best kind of chaos.
Itâs been a slower day: no training, just a wet and windy dog walk, and the small victory of assembling some overdue IKEA furniture (miraculously, no arguments đ).
Now Iâm ready to tuck into some sausage and mash from Madgetts Farm, curl up early, and give my body what it really needs. Rest & Recovery. Because even the best days put stress on our systems, and itâs the quiet ones that help us bounce back stronger.
Hereâs to love, laughter, a bit of movement, and knowing when to take it slow. â¤ď¸
