Becoming a Chiropractor: My Story in Rhyme

One of my clients told me I should try
To write poems like her instead of laugh or cry,
So I am going to give it a go today
You might hate it... or love the wordplay,
Stick around long enough
You'll see that I'm better at Chiropractic - that's no bluff.
A tale of how my journey began
A child asked how to spell and I ran.
The end of my teaching career
Opened up new possibilities, but of what, that was unclear.
Observing a Chiropractor in action
I was fascinated by the work - call it an attraction.
For years I watched the masses go through a door
Crawl one way broken, then back again but smiling a little more.
All brighter, lighter, changed for the better
I marched off to uni with my acceptance letter.
Trudged and struggled through the days at university,
But deep down I knew I could help - I just needed to wait patiently
Years later, I’ve grown, adapted, and practiced,
Helping people feel better - leaving them positively impacted.
I love what I do, and each night I pray
That I get to help and teach people for the rest of my life - every single day.
